A preparatory meeting was held on June 22, 2023 at the Chao Anantawaritthidet Meeting room, 3rd floor, Nan City Hall, to present crucial information to the esteemed selection committee responsible for choosing the cities to become members of the prestigious UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023.

Mr. Wiboon Waewbandit, Governor of Nan Province, led relevant public and private sectors to meet and discuss with Mr. Chadchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, at Bangkok City Hall to discuss ways to develop the area to become a member of the creative network of UNESCO.

Mr. Wiboon Waewbundit, Nan governor, led the working group to drive Nan province to become a member of the UNESCO network and met with Mrs. Wanpen Mangsri, Phetchaburi deputy governor, and her team at the Royal Diamond Hotel, Muang District, Phetchaburi Province.

Nan city has one of important ancient handicraft which is produce pottery at "Ban Tao Hai Chae Liang" witch now called “Bo Suak kiln” archaeological site.

Nan province, located in northern Thailand, possesses several unique characteristics that make it a potential candidate for inclusion in the Creative City Network.
