Development of Nan creative city in terms of handicrafts and folk arts According to the mission of a member of the Creative Cities Organization of UNESCO (UNESCO Creative Cities Network: UCCN) to determine the strategy and direction for the development of creative cities., to the potential of the area and in accordance with appropriate and promoting the creative economy linked to context under participation from all sectors for the development of the creative city of Nan towards sustainability.


Missions and goals of creative city development

UNESCO proposed the concept of Creative Cities Networks in 2004 or 2004 with the goal of creating cooperation from local development to international level to create culture and sustainable development. Strategy 2: Development of potential and creative skills (Capacity Building & Skill Development of Creativity)
To develop competency and creative skills Supporting the development of creative cities in terms of handicrafts and folk arts sustainably, covering 4 areas: creative people development, creative process development, and creative products development, as well as the development of creative urban areas. (Creative Place) appropriately reflects the identity of Nan.

Strategy 3: Creation of Opportunities and Equal Learning in Society (Inclusive Society & Learning Opportunities for All)
To open opportunities for all groups of people to have access to creative activities. specifically for The fragile people in society include youth, women and the elderly to reduce income inequality. reduce poverty Promote lifelong learning to improve the quality of life in the long run as well as to develop skills for designing creative works of handicrafts to meet the needs of the market in the new normal way (New Normal Market), developing a curriculum on designing and creating handicrafts and folk arts. for ethnic groups in Nan province

Strategy 4: Inheritance and Creation of Handicraft Wisdom and Folk Art (Local Wisdom and Creative Development for Crafts & Folk Art)
